In America, call these free numbers anytime to speak to a trained volunteer at the National Suicide Prevention Hotline:

1-800-SUI-CIDE (784 2433)

Children and teenagers can call the Boys Town number anytime.  Girls  and parents are also welcome to call:  1-800-448-3000

In the UK, call the Samaritans at 617 247 0220.  This is not a free call.  You can also call 08457 90 90 90

There are numerous suicide prevention hotlines in Canada, depending on where you live.  Check out Suicide.org in order to get the most up to date phone numbers and costs of the call.

In Australia, call Lifeline at 13 11 14 to talk to a trained volunteer.  If you have attempted suicide such as taking pills and are still conscious, please dial 000

I stuck only with English speaking countries since I’m guessing that’s where anyone reading this will be.  If want another country’s suicide prevention hotlines here, just let me know.
